Corporation, a provider of search and network caching software to enterprise
and web portals. During his tenure, Rahul filled product management roles
in the Search division. As Director of Product Management for Search, Rahul
was tasked with defining and validating Inktomi's expansion into the
enterprise search market, and identifying partner and/or acquisition
opportunities that would lead to the development of enterprise product
solutions. Rahul received both a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Bill Matthews, Vice President Business Development
Bill has over 25 years of experience and progressive responsibility within the marketing research, online advertising, and information industries, including 16 years at A.C. Nielsen. Aware of the web's emergence as a viable new medium, Bill joined I/PRO in 1996, the web’s first website traffic verification service. As one of the company's original architects, he built, managed, and developed I/PRO’s Account Management and Sales organizations, eventually being appointed President until 2004 when the company changed ownership. Behnam A. Rezaei leads NetSeer's team in the design and implementation of its technological innovations. The primary inventor of the company's ten patent applications to date, Behnam has a broad range of expertise including complex systems, random networks, information dynamics, and distributed and P2P networking and information processing, and is widely published in scientific and technical publications. Prior to founding NetSeer, Behnam was a lead researcher on several projects in spam filtering, identification of the structure and dynamics in large-scale biological networks, and the development of P2P network clients. He was also a lead developer of UCLA's BruNet P2P network client at the university's complex systems laboratory. Behnam received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Vwani Roychowdhury, Co-Founder and Chief Scientist
Dr. Vwani Roychowdhury, Professor of Electrical Engineering at UCLA, established the theoretical foundation of NetSeer's groundbreaking technology. An internationally recognized researcher in mathematics, statistics, physics, electrical engineering and computer science, Professor Roychowdhury is known for innovative problem solving in the fields of learning theory and systems, statistical modeling and processing of large-scale and high dimensional datasets, peer-to-peer (P2P) networking and complex systems, distributed and parallel processing, bioinformatics, quantum computing and nanoelectronics. He has consulted with major corporations including Intel, HP, AT&T, IBM and Warner Bros., has co-authored three books on artificial intelligence and neural networks, has written over 150 technical and scientific publications, holds two U.S. patents, and was recently featured by The New Scientist, Nature, The Guardian, and the BBC for his breakthroughs in social networks and dynamics, spam filtering and P2P networking. Dr. Roychowdhury received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
SENIOR MANAGEMENT
Riccardo Boscolo, Vice President Core Technology
Riccardo Boscolo received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 1997 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, also in Electrical Engineering, from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1999 and 2003 respectively. From February 1999 and December 2000, he was on the research staff at HRL Laboratories, participating in several projects involving the development of computer vision techniques for automotive applications. He is the coauthor of several patents on smart airbag systems, pre-crash sensing systems, and video encryption for controlled content distribution.
